Some of this article is largely off topic. Especially the text on Ceramic Filters and Biosand Filters. It's off topic because the title of the article concerns the history of spa filters but these sub headings contain virtually no relevant information on this issue. They could be brought back on topic if they gave some information about how these particular filtration methods have contributed directly to the history of spa filters. It's not enough, I don't think, to simply include them by virtue of being water filters alone, they need to have been used for the purpose of spa filtration or contributed DIRECTLY to its evolution.

I've reworked the information under the "Sand Filter" heading to make it more encyclopedic but a lot more work is required to lift the standard of the remainder of the article.
