The Windermere's brunch was a favorite of Adrienne Rogers. Known jovially as the Amelia Earhart of Chicago's southern lakefront, Adrienne shocked sunbathers, swimmers and lifeguards alike with intermittent landings of her seaplane, The Lil Randy, onto the 57th street beach. When questioned about her aerial commute to the Windermere's infamous brunch sessions, Adrienne simply replied, "I'll be damned if I miss my spicy fish."

Sounds like a great story, but it was unsourced, and I cannot find mention of her anywhere on the Internet or in newspapers.com.
