Proposed merge with Hound needlefish

Hound needlefish article says nothing about the subspecies other than that it's a subspecies. Houndfish gives context and usable information. --Animalparty-- (talk) 07:31, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, I don't know the notability rules for subspecies, but I think Hound needlefish could be redirected here with no loss in information. Ryan shell (talk) 18:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree as well, because the Hound needlefish article would have better context merged with Houndfish than if left on its own. ~ Anastasia (talk) 23:25, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hound needlefish now redirects to Houndfish. If this article gets developed to the point where a split is necessary (e.g. extensive discussion of both subspecies), then a split can be proposed at that time.--Animalparty-- (talk) 21:03, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
