Confusing/lacking information on "volumes"

edit

As has already been pointed out in the past without any relevant fixes at all having been applied to the article so far, the Publication history part of the article is still an incredible mess. For instance, the article makes mention throughout of "volumes" I, II, III, and IV, without ever making itself clear what they are. All I know is the original color comic from the 70s, the b/w HTD Magazine published around 1980, the scattered appearances after the shitty, shitty film, and the own HTD limited series as part of Marvel MAX around 2002. --2003:71:4E07:BB44:5DB9:6E6A:B4D1:170 (talk) 22:54, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

So, I've had a look on eBay and matters get even more complicated there. The collectors there don't use the term "volume" and instead speak of "series". They call the 1970s HTD color series "1st series", completely ignore the b/w HTD Magazine, call the Marvel MAX mini-series "2nd series", some "3rd series" seems to have been published around 2008, and the on-going new series is called "5th series". Oddly enough, I couldn't trace down any evidence of any actual "4th series".
I mean, can't we simply have a neat and tidy little overview table here to make order of this entire mess, a lot like [1]? That link doesn't have the b/w HTD Magazine either, and only goes up until the 2002 Marvel MAX mini-series (and what's TPB mean there, anyway? Trade paperback?).
On top of that, Marvel has by now created a new amalgam crossover mini-series entitled Deadpool the Duck (a much better idea than the former one-shot "Lobo the Duck", if you ask me), and they've also published a fourth volume of The Complete Collection (comprised of Howard the Duck Magazine 8-9, Marvel Team-up (1972), Howard the Duck (1976), Sensational She-Hulk 14-17, Bizarre Adventures 34, Marvel Tales (1964) 237, and Spider-Man Team-up 5), both of which not listed in our article yet. --2003:71:4E07:BB09:3502:C806:BF25:1F30 (talk) 18:42, 8 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Carnage episode

edit

In the Ultimate Spider-Man episode Carnage, Howard did make a cameo as a fantasy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18D:4700:72A0:CD62:C79F:684F:328B (talk) 11:16, 4 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
