Port Nelson
editWas the line actually graded to Port Nelson? It looks that way on aerials; there's an obvious linear feature from the curve at Amery all the way to Port Nelson. --NE2 01:38, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
HBRY in Illinois
editI just saw a Hudson Bay Railway engine here in Ottawa, IL. Anyone know about the company expanding way down here? It was on railnet owned tracks. --198.229.216.104 (talk) 05:53, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
HBRY units are actually owned by Omni-trax and therefore are moved to deal with motive power shortages anywhere along their lines. Living near HBRY, I see units of theirs running occasionally on fellow omni-trax sister line Carlton Trail Railway. HBRY units have been spotted all over North America. -Signed Kermit Crack (not logged in) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.174.134.2 (talk) 09:02, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Track diagram
editWhat do the digits (e.g., 0 The Pas; 80 Thompson; 1320 Churchill) on the diagram signify? (Obviously not miles or KM or elevation.) I have a 1954 timetable showing 509.8 miles between The Pas and Churchill (and made the roundtrip a few years earlier). Casey (talk) 21:24, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- I reverted an apparently mistaken edit on 20 March 2010 of Template:Hudson Bay Railway that had converted Miles to KM whereas the original already was in KM. Casey (talk) 02:43, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Short Railway line?
editIn the first sentence "short line railway operating over 1,300 kilometres". That is a very long short railway line. Or does "short line" have another meaning in Canadian English. Please explain. TiffaF (talk) 12:14, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Proposed Extension
editI couldn't find anything about the railway wanting to expand to Nunavut and especially the logistically impossible extension to Alert, NU. Appears to be fictitious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snarkzilla (talk • contribs) 03:22, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
