Tengai Makyō series

Origin of name
editIf this were an American-based company, which it is not, it would be understandable where the "Hudson" part came from, but since it is based in Japan, the "Hudson" part remains a mystery to me. Where did the name come from??... Marcus 20:11, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Relation with WestOne
editWestOne Bit Entertainment page redirects here however no explanation is given on how two companies are related. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.240.28.143 (talk) 10:58, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
They aren't related. This redirect should not exist. Westone only licensed their Wonder Boy franchise to Hudson Soft; it's not as if they merged. This link makes it appear that Hudson Soft is the developer in the game articles. Please correct. Renfield (talk) 20:08, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Hudson logo.gif
editImage:Hudson logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Hudson Soft. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}

- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.hudson.co.jp/corp/coinfo/history.html
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.hudsonentertainment.com/corporate/company-info
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Mistranslation: "A caravan was held at sixty venues throughout Japan"
editWhat does this mean? A caravan is a kind of trailer you attach to a car. Clearly wrong translation from the Japanese linked page. Maybe we mean something like a conference? Equinox ◑ 13:22, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Taking from the Japanese version of the article, there was a yearly game tournament called ハドソン全国キャラバン "Hudson country-wide caravan". It toured Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa, 65 different venues at its grandest. Each tournament had a specific game people competed in, it sounds like. The rest you can read from the dedicated Caravan section in the English-language article.
- You really shouldn't have to read the article in reverse in order to understand it, but that is wikipedia's modus operandi. --91.150.32.200 (talk) 19:46, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
X68000
editPerhaps the page should mention the X68000 computer, as Hudson developed its operating system and co-designed its GPU. - 2804:D4B:7909:3800:68B9:CF50:2904:7973 (talk) 23:31, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
