Ritter, et al mentions credits Archer with a number of actions that must have occurred after his death, as per his gravestone, including service in the Leon Volunteers during the Civil War and as Florida Attorney General in 1865, though he does not appear on any Attorney General list. Genealogical sites name his as the father of James T. Archer, though I've found no RS for this yet. Gamaliel (talk) 19:38, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
