Talk about speedy deletion
edit- He is an notablity cartoonlist in south korea. He is famous in "Gourmet"(식객) and "Tazza"(타짜), "Superboard"
- I wrote references in this documents. but I can't translation to english. because This web documents too long. (날아라! 슈퍼보드) --Badbread123 (talk) 11:12, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- If the references are not in English, then perhaps this article isn't notable enough for the English Wikipedia? I'm sure the Korean Language Wikipedia would more than appreciate this article, but, as you have said, he is a notable cartoonist in South Korea, not in the rest of the world. I personally cannot find any truly reliable third party sources, that would support this article. On top of this, there is so little content actually in the article, besides the large amount of text that still appears to be in Korean, i'm struggling to find anyway to justify this articles inclusion in this Wikipedia. Heo Yeong-man → Huh Young-man – Proposing to revert a move on 26 March which was apparently made without discussion. The spelling Heo Yeong-man may be technically correct but Huh Young-man has 20 times as many web hits (18.7m cf 0.9m. – Fayenatic London 14:33, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. Web hits are just a lot of ghosting when the numbers are this large. On JoongAng, there are three results for "Huh Yeong-man" site:koreajoongangdaily.joinsmsn.com, two for "Heo Yeong-man" site:koreajoongangdaily.joinsmsn.com. On Chosun, it's four for "Huh Yeong-man" site:english.chosun.com, one for "Heo Yeong-man" site:english.chosun.com. "Use a systematically transliterated or otherwise romanized name" unless "there is a common English form of the name," per MOS:FOREIGN. Highbeam has no hits for either form, so I would not put this title in the "common English form" category. Kauffner (talk) 16:44, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- I only looked at the Korea Times stories cited in the article. They call him Huh Young-man: [1], [2], [3]. —rybec 07:34, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose: When two names are common, we have better select technically correct his name. More correct pronunciation is more important in Korean names. Queensbugs (talk) 17:49, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: in English-language sources, IMDB and New York Times both use Huh Young-man (see External links section). – Fayenatic London 21:04, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
