"Education: College" column of belief table is incorrect

edit

If you sum the percentages of the different belief categories you get a total of 110. This is more than any possible inaccuracies due to rounding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:981:D34D:1:9D99:2E4A:965C:D78A (talk) 09:31, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Life's a Trip"

edit

I discovered just the other day that there is a Canadian television show called Life's A Trip which has an episode entitled "Iceland: Believe in Fairies." The episode seems to be available online here, but I can't get it to work in my browser. Perhaps someone else can, and could let me know if the episode contains any new information relevant to this article? --Amanojyaku (talk) 11:54, 3 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vanity Fair article controversy

The Vanity Fair article has been generating quite a bit of controversy. See the following links:

Any thoughts on whether it should still be cited or not? --Amanojyaku (talk) 13:18, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Hulder

edit

I'm suprised that the connection with the Norwegian hulderfolk, hulder or huldra isn't discussed further in this article, as they are obviously one and the same, though perhaps the Icelandic interpretation is more true to the original belief about those mythological beings. --2A04:981:2B00:4C00:20FB:2015:A134:78C1 (talk) 06:59, 24 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I doubt that the Icelandic stories are more "true" to some original form of these beings.
Even though the Huldufólk and the Hulder are connected by etymology they are so different that I don't really think a discussion is necessary. To me the Hulder seem more connected to what we in Iceland would think of as "Vættir".
