What can I do to help? Anything? I think there should be a page on this.-- Jacob username is black_elephant email is jacobduncanporter@gmail.com

Surprisingly, there is no mention of thousands of white-owned farms being seized. I would say that is a human rights issue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.146.207.185 (talk) 10:54, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removed "for example in the Iraq War": "==Government response== The government of Zimbabwe has generally responded to accusations of human rights violations from Western countries by counter-accusals of colonial attitudes and hypocrisy, claiming that countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States are guilty of similar or worse transgressions, for example in the Iraq War."

Show me a quote where a government offical made a statement referring to the Iraq War. I tried to find one and could not. And without citation, it must be considered propaganda.Skiracer712 (talk) 17:31, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Prisons

edit

According to the Independent, prisoners in Zimbabwe jails are treated to the same conditions whether or not they are genuine "hardcore criminals" (to quote the article) or just suspects. Prisoners receive only a small plate of sadza and spinach in the afternoon and are kept in overcrowded cells almost all day. The article in question is here. There is one from the Daily Mail, but my browser won't open in for some reason. I thought I should post about it in the talk page before adding it into the article. --ConCass (talk) 13:07, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
