Von Luschan Scale Obsolete
The Von Luschan skin color scale is not used, and even it's own article Von_Luschan's_chromatic_scale says "The von Luschan scale was largely abandoned by the early 1950s, replaced instead by methods utilizing reflectance spectrophotometry." When it is used in this article, it gives a distorted and inaccurate portrayal of skin color variation. It encourages exaggerated notions of lighter skinned diversity, while minimizing and downplaying the diversity of darker skinned variations. I would like it to be removed from the article, as it sustains outdated and inappropriate racial sentiments. Namely it "protects" the conformity of assigning greater importance to lighter skinned people. --69.246.120.240 (talk) 15:43, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
