editWhat about invertebrate sternums? Gdr 2005-06-29 14:05:09 (UTC)
insect sternum
edityes, that is a reasonable objection. in morphological describtion, the text is often refering to a sternum to describe particular morphological conditions. e.g. the tongue case of certain sphingidae pupae is attached to the sternum.
+template:technical
editA prior editor noted that this article appeared to be too technical. I've moved the template:technical onto this talk page per the template's usage, but fear I lack the requisite expertise to convert the article iteself into layman's vernacular. Sternal pain
editWhat's it indicate if your sternum's kinda sore, especially when you flex your pecs or move your shoulders close together in front? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.21.221 (talk) 23:23, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
When people do bench presses and let the bar bouce off their chest, it can cause an injury to the Sternum. 76.64.168.4 (talk) 04:54, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
It's not the sternum that is sore. Most likely it is muscle related. Torn, or defective. 137.240.136.88 (talk) 18:08, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
chest painit can also be related to the tedons or ligaments.it is usually caused by improper and irregular chest activity or any sudden movements which can shock the thoracic system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.184.24.14 (talk) 06:21, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Talk:Sternum redirects to Talk:Human sternum
editThis makes it hard to discuss the Sternum page. Wegesrand (talk) 10:31, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- I put {{db-g6}} on it, so the admins will delete it. Then, you can recreate it to discuss the Sternum page. Rchard2scout (talk) 10:30, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Sternal foramens can often be mistaken for bullet holes.
edit...Really? I would think to call a sternal foramen a bullet hole, there'd have to be some kind of entry/exit wound in the skin overlaying it. ~Alison C. (Crazytales) 08:28, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Other languages
editSince this lemma is only a redirect to Sternum, all of the linked language versions should be moved to Sternum, too. I just did that for the German version, but it took me ten minutes to successfully save it, so maybe a more experienced user could move them more quickly? Thanks! --ComradeMicha (talk) 21:06, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
