Thoughts on Improvements
editI believe this article could be improved in a few ways:
- The lead section is very long (3 paragraphs) and addresses information that could be moved to and expanded upon in other sections of the page. - Almost the entirety of the article is drawn from a single U.S. State Department report on the subject. - There is a lack of variety in sources for the information included. - The structure of the article mirrors that of the report rather than organizing information in order of relevance to readers - Various topics of interest and relevance including impunity and the southern border are completely excluded
I'd appreciate any input other people interested in the subject have on the matter and may be looking to change the article significantly in the future.
EDIT: I've posted some sources I am considering using on my user page.
EDIT: I will begin editing along the lines of my previous comments soon. I intend to eliminate large portions of the article that are directly taken from the State Dept. report as I add new content. If anyone disagrees with these changes, please do let me know before I begin making them!

Talk Page comments: Great job on this article! Everything that you added is very well written, relevant, and readable. I also think that the organization of the article is excellent. I would suggest first adding images to make the article more appealing. Also, I would recommend adding more statistics and citations, specifically to the prevalence and globalization sections. Comments on Revision
editArcendeight: The article is really well written! It gives the appropriate amount of context and the redesigned sections transition from one to the other very smoothly. My only suggestion is to edit the lead to be a more comprehensive description of the issue and to add some years in order to contextualize the time period that your statements are reflecting. The most pressing issue, in my opinion, is to define human trafficking in Mexico in the first sentence. I’m really impressed with your work and look forward to seeing this article transform as you continue to edit it! --Owlettes (talk) 23:43, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Proposed Major Reversion
editI have been reviewing this page and noticed that a group of student editors made significant changes in the past several months. These have included the deletion of significant portions of the text without explanation, rephrasing of existing text in ways damaging to its clarity, and introduction of unclear new text. I propose reverting these changes to the version of the article from March 5, 2019 prior to the first edit by Amtubbs. I will wait some days before doing so in case of objections by other page watchers and notify the involved editors as well. Arcendeight (talk) 14:46, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
