Date of death
editA Humphrey de Bohun, earl of Hereford is recorded near contemporaneously, in the calendar of the family's psalter, as having died on the 17th January 1371. (Luttrell Psalter folio 1 verso). Has anyone any ideas about how he would fit into the pattern of descent. (RJPe (talk) 14:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC))
- The year is probably an error made by the scribe of the psalter. Humphrey de Bohun died 16 Jan 1373 and his lands were "taken into the King's hand" on 17 Jan 1373. OneLastAuk (talk) 01:07, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
Gilbert
editI can't find any evidence of this said Gilbert. The 4th Earls sons other than William (Humphrey the 7th Earl was his son; he also had a daughter) had no issue as far as I can tell. So splitting the inheritance between the daughters seems correct. Who is the father of Gilbert? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.190.180.169 (talk) 21:29, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
