Merged, author of Hunter Hayes discography was fine with the merge so I did it. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 22:49, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

He's only two singles into his career at this point. There's just not enough of a discography yet to warrant its own page, especially since the main article isn't terribly long yet. For now, the discography should just be at the bottom of the article, not separate. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 20:09, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I thought it was kinda funny to have a separate page when I really don't think he's done very much. JuneWater (talk) 22:05, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hunter Hayes was at one point also an actor, and played small roles in "My Dog Skip" (2000) and "The Apostle", (1997) as well as Montgomery in "Charlie's War" (2003).

Photo too promotional

edit

The photo we have in infobox is too promotional (Hunter Hayes signing autograph to a kid). I can understand such a photo appearing in personal life section. But in infobox, we need replacement of photo with a more "straight forward" music-related photo. I moved the objectionable "autographing" photo to a lower level. werldwayd (talk) 03:15, 23 December 2012 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 03:17, 23 December 2012 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 03:25, 23 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Since when the hell is that a reason to remove a photo? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 16:27, 2 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
    • "Too promotional" is a very valid reason. Here in the photo used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hunter_Hayes.jpg an artist is being portrayed not for his art, but for being "popular" with infants and an actual infant's photo is being used. Were the parents informed that their child's photo is being used? Do they want him to appear on a Hunter Hayes page. Does Hunter Hayes like to be portrayed in such manner? Probably not. At least not in Wikipedia where a general reader rather than just a fan is browsing the page. Yes, the picture IS horrific if you ask me. Change it into a regular face photo or a photo while he is performing on stage. werldwayd (talk) 22:48, 13 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the new photos by contributors, now we are using a much better photo, answering my concerns about earlier photo. werldwayd (talk) 06:57, 19 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

pilot license

edit

About the pilot license: the ref only covers that he learns for obtaining the license, NOT that he has one by now. So either the info = wrong; or a fresh ref has to be inserted. Thanks!Super48paul (talk) 11:21, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I completely removed the "Personal life" section. It had one statement, that he had a pilot's license. That is just trivia and does not need to be in the article. GB fan 12:22, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
The one sentence personal life section has been added back in without any discussion. The reasoning behind the restoration is "re-added Personal Life section. While the license mentioned is just a sentence long, judging by the Personal life section of other artists' whats Personal life if not just trivia?" There maybe trivia in other artist's personal life section but a complete section with one sentence that he is "is working on obtaining his Pilot's license" is not necessary. He could work on his pilot's license for years and never get it. The source is from Jan 2013 (10 months ago at this point)with no updates that I have been able to find. Is he still working on it? Or as someone else changed the article did he already get it and no sources reported it? I do not believe it belongs in the article. GB fan 12:30, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

In one of his YT vids it shows him flying. Idk it doesn't seem a big deal to leave the section alone or to delete; either way for me. Some personal section is better than none I guess. From his interviews he seems rly private so it' might be rly tough to have anything at all — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.250.244.163 (talk) 03:58, 1 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hunter is releasing a new album in May of 2014, and this could possibly be included as "upcoming studio album" or something.

Revive discography page?

edit

Two years ago, it made sense to keep his discography information as a main article section rather than its own page, but now I'd say he has enough material to warrant the separate article. Other artists with a comparable amount of albums and singles released have a discography page (see Christina Perri discography, Cher Lloyd discography, Ed Sheeran discography). It's by no means necessary, and the main Hunter Hayes article might be a little small with the section removed, so I don't recommend anything be done unless a consensus is reached. Just something to consider. Thoughts? Songsteel (talk) 01:26, 3 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

wow im late. but if you're still up for making a separate page for hunter's discography, im all for it JuneWater (talk) 02:09, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's happening. (Hopefully). I puttered around for a couple hours to come up with this "draft" discography page, but I can't move it into the mainspace myself because Hunter Hayes discography already exists as a redirect. Going to request to have a moderator move it, and then we can adjust the main Hunter Hayes article once that's done. Songsteel (talk) 19:33, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Changes to Hunter's career section

I would like to add another album to Hunter Hayes Discography. Discography Main article: Hunter Hayes discography Hunter Hayes (2011) Storyline (2014)

He released an album in 2012 called "Hunter Hayes Encore". It included tracks from his Hunter Hayes Album, but also added songs, including I Want Crazy. This album is even listed on his website [1]

LNK1984 (talk) 21:37, 13 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

References

Encore is already listed over at Hunter Hayes discography. It seems the discography section on this page is only for ones with their own Wikipedia article. Stickee (talk) 22:53, 13 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
