POV
editI think that perhaps it is not the best to link the building of high-rise buildings with asian residents with anger from existing residents. I feel that it is a bit of a logical fallacy, do these things cause one another or are they unrelated facts? Are they facts?
St george
editi thought that st george was hurstville, rockdale and kograh? Then again i could be wrong. The bellman 09:55, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Mini HK???
editWhile there is a whole lot of chinese floating around hurstville compared to other parts of Sydney, I wouldn't say there is overwhelmingly more chinese than English. I don't think I've heard of Hurstville being described as 'mini HK' -- I am going to remove unless someone has source / ref / ???. novacatz 07:54, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Google gives 4 hits, 2 of which are one bit of duplicated hearsay, and 2 of which are the name of a shop. To me that says delete / remove. -- All the best, Nickj (t) 23:44, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yes people often refer to Hurstville as "The new Chinatown in Southern Sydney", but the Chinese commercial developments mainly congregates along Forest Road. Inside Westfield and outside Forest Road, there's not many Chinese commericial developments. I think the current info in the demographics section is good enough. Oidia 13:10, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Ron Aitchison?
editProfessor Aitchison hardly qualifies as a resident of Hurstville. His home was in Yarran Road, Oatley, the last house on the south-eastern side, atop a ridge overlooking George's River. I lived on Yarran Road, and attended Oatley Public School with the Aitchison children. He fitted the classic image of the eccentric professor, wild tonsure and all, but was reputed an amiable fellow.
