Should harem be added to the genre list?
editShould harem be added to the list of genres? In the anime it appears that Jūbei, Yukimura, Sen, and Gisen have feelings for Muneakira. What do you guys think? K2NR (talk) 20:45, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Are there any reliable sources, form either the publisher or a number of reviewers classifying the series as a harem? —Farix (t | c) 22:23, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- The anime appears to speak for itself when it comes to that genre. So does the anime itself count as a source or not? K2NR (talk) 00:34, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Also, check out the Mania.com reviews above. To me it counts as a reliable source. I'm not sure if it counts for you though, Farix K2NR (talk) 01:04, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- "a number of reviewers classifying the series as a harem". You will need more than just one, but a consensus of the reviewers. And no, the work itself cannot be a source for most genres, as determining genres requires interpretation. —Farix (t | c) 15:23, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- So if the series isn't technically classified as harem, what other genres (other than action and comedy because it's already been listed) should be added to the article? K2NR (talk) 20:00, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Use the genres that the publisher, retailers, and reliable sources determine it to be. —Farix (t | c) 20:52, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, according to Japan's Wikipedia article, it is listed as a romantic comedy. So the comedy genre should be changed to that, I believe. K2NR (talk) 02:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- The Japanese Wikipedia isn't a reliable source either. —Farix (t | c) 11:19, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oh well. Guess I'll close this topic for now, until someone else finds some evidence for the genres. K2NR (talk) 21:00, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
What's with all the Pseudonyms?
editWhy do all the English cast members have punny names for their cast credit here? Should they be changed to their real names? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.145.88.147 (talk) 05:58, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Hyakka Ryōran Samurai Girls → Hyakka Ryōran – "Samurai Girls" is only the subtitle of the light novel series, the second manga series, and the first anime series. It is not the only subtitle of the franchise. "Sengoku Maidens" appears instead of SG in the first manga, "Seven Spears" in place of SG in the third manga, and "Samurai Bride" appears in place of SG in the second anime. Shortening the title will be more inclusive of the franchise and also avoid disputes on how to stylize the separation between the two titles. For example, how we have a space between them in the article URL yet use a colon between them in the first sentence. Ranze (talk) 19:54, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
