It exists since 2004 and is currently co-chaired by NOAA (US) and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. The impact of HEPEX on flood forecasting initiatives worldwide has been considerable and is increasing. The initiative is documented in numerous peer-reviewed publications listed in the article.Reply
