Phreatic eruption

edit

Can somebody explain the difference or relation to a Phreatic eruption? In GVP Yellowstone Eruption History you can see the declaration Phreatic explosion to those events. Also H.U.Schmicke in his Book Volcanism wrote: Hydrothermal explosions are a kind of phreatic explosions. Thanks --Sextant2 (talk) 16:26, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Volcanic Pipes are Hydrothermal explosions?

edit

Inexpertly, diamond-carrying Volcanic pipe eruptions resemble Hydrothermal explosion eruptions. Perhaps they form a sequence, based upon (increasing) relative water content,

Mary Bay

edit

Seems a possible topic, see https://www.google.com/maps/place/Yellowstone+National+Park/@44.5434783,-110.3437598,13z for the exact location. I haven't flagged Mary Bay as an R with possibilities as I'm not sure, but see its destination Hydrothermal_explosion#Mary Bay for evidence of likely notability.
