I am creating this talk page for help developing IBM RFID Information Center. This is my first experience engaging in the living Wikipedia encyclopedia! So far, I have attempted to "mirror" to some degree the page IBM DB2 (because it is a similar product with a successful page), with a lot more content still to come, but don't know if I'll have time because this page is already up for speedy deletion!
The reason I tagged with "hang on" is because this article satisfies the 3 main criteria for existence: It is Neutral Point of View: material still to come will be a section on competitors It is Verifiable: many links to external and internal sites It is Not orginal thought or research.
It is Notable: This middleware exists to augment RFID tags and sensors.. browsing the RFID article will give a sense of the impact RFID is having on the world and many predict it is set to revolutionize not only supply chains but retail as well.
Can I please get help from those who want to speedy delete letting me know how to avoid this fate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebekahalnablack (talk • contribs) 00:48, 11 April 2008
- I have added a "mergeinto" tag to this article. My reason for doing this is that there is very little information in this article; it is mostly external links which duplicate or almost duplicate those in IBM WebSphere. You are welcome to take part in the dicussion – please follow the "Discuss" link from the article. -- MightyWarrior (talk) 12:28, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- It does look like the article is now contains sufficient information about the subject itself to require a separate article. I am therefore withdrawing the merge suggestion, especially since no-one else has volunteered any opinion on the matter. I would still recommend that a link is placed in IBM WebSphere to the new article, and other opportunities to link it into articles are explored. Care must also be taken not to let the new article sound too much like an advert or sales brochure. Regards. -- MightyWarrior (talk) 09:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
