Talk:IBM WebSphere Information Integration
I don't know how to emphasize the importance of the subject without sounding like an IBM marketing campaign. The Information Server described on the page creates a new category of business software: the all in one data integration server. Like the database server or the application server it is an important milestone and other software vendors may start building their own version. This is opinion and not fact (though widely reported in the press) so I am putting it in the discussion page and not on the wiki entry.

- Well, perhaps the point is that the only thing to be reported about this product is an IBM marketing campaign? I think one would need very strong evidence, in particular independent coverage in multiple sources, to show that this product is notable independent of the IBM WebSphere family which we already cover. (Currently only one of the sources is really independent.) Then, of course, content from these sources should be used to expand the article beyond a mere listing of features which it is right now. If there's nothing of note to report about this product, except for a feature listing and an assertion that it "defines a new category of software", it might be best to merge or redirect the article to IBM WebSphere. Actually, if this is really a new category of software, that exists independent of IBM Marketing and is recognized by others, why not write an article about this software category rather than about the individual product? I challenge this entire article because it has no inline citations. Either add them or do not revert the redirect. If you need time to work on the article, feel free to either improve the parent article and then split out or work on it off of the main article space.
