Translation of Informationsbyrån to English
editI changed "Information Bureau" to "The Information Office" because on google I found "Information Office" in several paces[1], whereas "Information Bureau" existed only on wikipedia[2]. --Ezeu 07:44, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Actually, the original sense of the name was the innocous Inhämtning Birger ("Retrieval /of information/ Birger"), referring to the boss Birger Elmér. This was not known to the jourmalists digging into the affair until many years later though. This article definitely should be rewritten and sourced, IB is as big a part of modern Swedish "secret history" as the Cambridge ring of spies in Britain, and it's had a huge impact on generations of ordinary people, politicians, journalists and intellectuals in the country.Strausszek 01:40, 29 January 2009 (CET)
