Support status
editThe support status on iOS 12 is stated as ”third party application support only” however this is not completely true. Apple is not clear on this matter but they have in the past supported major versions of iOS only up to the point of a new major release. In this case however, it seems they are taking a different approach. There must still be a substantial amount of devices that do not support iOS 13 because Apple has continued to support iOS 12 on older devices. Note that this is first party support and it is still active. I think that when Apple stops releasing updates to iOS 12 in connection with iOS 13 and later 14 releases, that is when it will be shifted to “third party application support only” because right now it is also first party.
Listing darwin version
editWhile going through and updating all of the iOS update list pages, I noticed that iOS 12 lists the Darwin version for each version of iOS - but no other page does. Is this information that's needed and I should spend the time to add to the other ones, or is it extraneous and better reserved for something like the iPhone wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.47.84.115 (talk) 01:47, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
