Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is an entirely relevant piece about a prominent figure within the LGBTQ and arts communities, which does not exist yet..

- Absolutely this article should be deleted as a (thus far) irrelevant subject, inso far a a wiki page goes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.228.36 (talk) 05:27, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on IO Tillett Wright. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}

Pronouns?
editShe calls herself "she" (not "they") on her own website: https://web.archive.org/web/20160722161852/http://www.darlingdays.com/about-me

- Yes, please clarify this issue in the article - it doesn't make sense for someone trying to get first information, if you read that 'he' refers himself only as 'he/they' and is a gender activist, if you have to do an additional google search to find out that it all gets relevant due to the fact that iO was born/is biologically a woman. Either delete the pronoun exccentricity or add the fact of the biological gender, it's completely redundant the other way. --93.133.70.189 (talk) 13:53, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- I've added that Wright was assigned female at birth (i.e., 'born female'), which seems to be the case, yet was rather oddly not stated anywhere in the article. Robofish (talk) 20:08, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- In her last website she use "his" to refer to herself https://www.iolovesyou.com/aboutio — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pavelik (talk • contribs) 00:27, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
Birth name?
editThe article says that iO is his/her legal first name, but is it the birth name? Equinox ◑ 21:34, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

Main notability as an associate of Amber Heard
editHonestly, this is the association that has got iO, a mid page columnist and occasional book publisher, into the spotlight. Sure, iO's personal achievements should provide the structure of the article, but this isn't much the substance of his notability. GregKaye 14:52, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

Involvement in the Depp v Heard case
editThere should be a section on his involvement in the depp v heard case. Thoughts?

- It is hard to judge the level of iO's notability but for his connection with Amber Heard and the relationship that, from 2009, she developed with Johnny Depp. There's no way to evaluate the impact that these relationships may or may not have had. I certainly have no objection to reference being made to Depp and Heard and suspect that most people visiting this article will have done so due to their interest in those people.
