IPad Mini (2019) → IPad Mini (5th generation) – Unlike the main iPad and Air lineup, naming conventions do not conflict with each other in the Mini lineup, there's an uninterrupted linear progression between models. Additionally, this Mini is referred to in Apple's internal media as the iPad Mini (5th generation). – Nick Mitchell 98 ^talk 03:37, 17 September 2019 (UTC)

• Support – It makes sense for two reasons. 1) The first generation is named iPad Mini (1st generation), so the proposed move here would fall in line with that naming convention. 2) The current disambiguation used in the title, 2019, is misleading. This generation may have been launched in 2019, but it will be sold and marketed through at least 2020 and likely well beyond. If the previous generation is any example, the 5th generation will have a run of at least 2-3 years before its successor is even announced. --GoneIn60 (talk) 04:40, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
