Fair use rationale for Image:Gfoodwine.gif

edit

Image:Gfoodwine.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:Carltoncinema.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

CDB Dispute

edit

No idea where this dispute comes from as there's not an entry for it here already, but... After checking the Companies House website (this direct link may work: http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/e241d3d1fa4d1fcec5489335ba34cd61/companysearch?disp=1&frfsh=1238937587#result), it appears that NO COMPANY under the name 'Carlton Digital Broadcasting' has ever existed. 'Carlton Digital Channels' and 'Carlton Digital Channels Holdings Limited' have existed since 31st July 1995 (albeit originally under different names), and continue to do so as of 5th April 2009 - both have their registered address as 200 Grays Inn Road: the ITN building. According to the page for Carlton Television, all of the Carlton... branded digital channels were owned by Carlton Television, which still exists as a registered company under the name 'Carlton Television Holdings Limited' - again, at 200 Grays Inn Road. It therefore seems fitting to re-word the article to reference Carlton Television as the owners of the Carlton branded digital stations, and remove any reference to Carlton having closed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.13.234 (talk) 13:49, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
