Fair use rationale for Image:Iknewilovedyou1-single.jpg
editImage:Iknewilovedyou1-single.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 23 June 2018
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: page moved. (closed by non-admin page mover) GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 17:17, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
I Knew I Loved You (Savage Garden song) → I Knew I Loved You – User moved what is clearly the primary topic for the title (a #1 US single) out of the way for a dab page to compensate for a song that doesn't even have an article and would not be notable enough to have one as it's an album track with no news coverage. Ss112 04:53, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:28, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112 and Drmies: queried move request. I Knew I Loved You is currently a disambig page. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:29, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- I would have moved it back already because I agree with you, but Max24 has been here long enough that I assume they know what they're doing--and may care to explain. Drmies (talk) 04:55, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Max24 has done things like this before. I assume it's because he is a big Celine Dion fan and thinks her cover of an Ennio Morricone track deserves to have some consideration, despite the fact this is not notable enough to disambiguate the Savage Garden song for and replace it with a dab page. Ss112 05:35, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: I know "I Knew I Loved You" is now a disambiguation page, because Max24 made it into one just yesterday. Per WP:NCMDAB and the fact that a #1 US single is clearly the primary topic (and only song with this title with an article), this should be restored to that namespace and perhaps a hatnote added at the top. Not disambiguate with artist+"song" in the title purely because of the existence of a cover song of a non-notable track. Ss112 11:02, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112, Max24, and Drmies: "is clearly the primary topic" :: Currently. Most pop music is ephemeral. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:01, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: Er... "I Knew I Loved You" is 18–19 years old. It has been the primary topic...for basically 20 years. If you can name anything notable with the same title, I'd really like to know what. Celine Dion's song is not recent either, but it has no news coverage and is only notable because of who covered it (it is not originally her song, it's a piece by Ennio Morricone on an album full of artists covering his songs. Morricone composed hundreds of pieces of music, not every composition is notable). It would not be able to be developed into a full article. This one other instance is not worth a disambiguation page to disambiguate what is essentially one page with an article. Per WP:NCMDAB it is the only song with the title "I Knew I Loved You" that has an article. So it should not have been moved in the first place. As far as I understand it, Drmies was not disputing the request to revert an undiscussed move, but rather asking Max24 why before moving it back. I wasn't aware that even if it were the case, that users disputing the request to revert an undiscussed move would prevent it from being done. Ss112 12:09, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Ss112, Max24, and Drmies: Sorry. I understand. I was never a pop music fan. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:16, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Anthony Appleyard, I don't know much more than you, but this seemed like a reasonable request. I was just hoping that Max24 would have an explanation, that maybe they knew something that I and Ss112 didn't know, given their experience here. I can imagine, for instance, them writing up an article for that other song and doing this first. Maybe they planned to and were prevented, maybe that other song has hidden depths we don't know about. But if they don't explain, this move will simply happen in a few days. I'm not aware, BTW, of previous edits like this on Max24's part; I didn't look that closely. I hope it's not a recurring pattern. Drmies (talk) 15:16, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support, per WP:TWODABS. WP:HATS exist for these situations. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 17:08, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support, why people love to make things complicated. There's no other page titled I Knew I Loved You other than that US/Canada/Romanian number-one hit by Savage Garden. A simple note at the top of the song article solves the matter instantly. We don't need a disambiguation page just to acknowledge a random non-single album track. Bluesatellite (talk) 04:27, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support → Duh. And Max24 needs to explain his stance if he keeps on doing these moves in other articles. —IB [ Poke ] 05:06, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support. As a recent undiscussed move, this should have been moved back immediately, and then discussed if necessary. Station1 (talk) 21:08, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
