Original Version
edit- "Critics have generally deemed the song a weaker track in Swift's catalog, although a few complimented its concept and sound" → Who exactly? I don't see any negative or mixed review in the "critical reception" section. In my opinion, it should be "Music critics generally praised the composition and imagery of "I Know Places", with some deeming it one of 1989's most vulnerable and underrated tracks", or anything like that?
- "The singer-songwriter Taylor Swift" → "The American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift"
- "Swift faced a lot of media scrutiny, which she said, put her in a place where "No one is going to sign up for [a relationship]. There are just too many cameras pointed at me. There are too many ridiculous elaborations about my life". Fantasizing a relationship where she "[met] someone awesome, and they were like, hey, I'm worried about all this attention you get", inspiring her to write "I Know Places" → I think this needs paraphrasing since the quote is messing it up
- "which were praised by Eliza Thompson of Cosmopolitan." → "which were praised by Cosmopolitan's Eliza Thompson."
- "was similar to that of her 2016 single, "Out of the Woods", which was theorized to be about the English singer Harry Styles." → "was similar to that of her 2016 single "Out of the Woods". (without the comma)" and remove the gossip
"which was theorized to be about the English singer Harry Styles."per WP:SPECULATION - "American singer-songwriter Pat Benetar" → "the American singer-songwriter Pat Benatar (not Benetar, right?)"
- "The song also focuses on Swift's desire to preserve an unstable relationship" → Does the source mention that?
- the source does mention it here: It was interesting to write about a relationship where you’re just honestly like, ‘This is probably not gonna last, but how long is it gonna last?’
Those fragile relationships … It doesn’t mean they’re not supposed to happen.

- "Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone said that she "goes all Kate Bush" in "I Know Places". → "In a ranking of Swift's entire catalog, Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone placed "I Know Places" at number 115, describing it as "underrated" and saying that Swift "goes all Kate Bush" in the song"
- "She also deemed the song the most vulnerable track in 1989, believing that it made her worried about Swift's wellbeing." → "DiStasio deemed "I Know Places" 1989's most vulnerable track, believing that it made her worried about Swift's well-being"
- Add DiStasio's ranking for the song (4/album)
- "compared the song to the soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1". → "compared the song to the soundtrack of the dystopian film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014)"
- You may add that Vulture's Lindsay Zoladz saw the song inspired by Lorde → "Zoladz thought that the song was inspired by the "moody" and "electro-minimalist" vibe of the New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, who curated the soundtrack album to the film"
- "Out of the Woods" is overlinked, remove the song's link from the "critical reception" section
- "The Independent's Roisin O'Connor ranked "I Know Places" 34th out of 100 select album tracks of Swift. O'Connor described it as an inferior version of "Out of the Woods" but praised the way Swift "sounds delightfully menacing" with the lyrics, "Loose links sink ships all the damn time/ Not this time." → "The Independent's Roisin O'Connor ranked "I Know Places" 34th out of 100 select album tracks of Swift, praising the way Swift sounds "delightfully menacing" with the lyrics: "Loose links sink ships all the damn time/ Not this time". O'Connor described "I Know Places" as an inferior version of "Out of the Woods"."
- You may add other rankings as well after that (like Vulture's ranking, 122/discography)
- "I Know Places" is number 12 on the standard track listing" → unsourced
- "where Swift runs through doors being chased by dancers in fox masks" → the source doesn't mention the "fox" masks, you can paraphrase it and add another source that says she was singing "they are the hunters, we are the foxes" or something, like the description of the performance in the 1989 World Tour article
- "the Eras Tour (2023–24)" → "the Eras Tour (2023–2024)"
- "Inglewood, fifth show" → the source states Los Angeles not Inglewood
- You can link Tokyo and Los Angeles, since Edinburgh is linked
- Add the Eras Tour reference after the Los Angeles show, and again after the Edinburgh show
- "during the Edinburgh stop" → "during the first Edinburgh show"
- link Youtube
- "Swift deemed his cover "so mesmerizing, it's so pretty" → "Swift described his cover as "so mesmerizing" and "so pretty"
- "Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy" → "The Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy"
- "American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams" → "The American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams"
- The credits (personnel) are not mentioned/not referenced
- The track length, the studios, the producers are not mentioned in the body/not referenced
- i should have fixed most of the issues already brachy08 (chat here lol) 07:39, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Taylor's Version
edit- "as part of the re-recording of 1989" → "as part of 1989's re-recording"
- "of Notion" → "of Notion", also you can talk more about Rachel Martin's review
- "praised its re-recording" → "praised the re-recording"
- remove the link from 1989 (Taylor's Version)
- "alongside "All You Had to Do Was Stay (Taylor's Version)"" → "alongside the re-recording of "All You Had to Do Was Stay"
- "Kelsey Barnes of The Line of Best Fit also praised its re-recording, hailing it as one of the best re-recorded tracks on 1989 (Taylor's Version), alongside "All You Had to Do Was Stay (Taylor's Version)", elaborating that it is "more guttural", hypothesizing that she "[channeled] her anger" at media scrutiny into the recording" → a way too long one sentence
- The Line of Best Fit review is unsourced
- link Slant Magazine
- vocal's soar → vocals' soar
- Why is only Hot 100 mentioned? Other charts should be mentioned as well
- The track length and the studios are not mentioned in the body/not referenced

We could outrun them".
- "Personnel" section of the original version should be added before the "charts" section
- Would you like to add this Vulture ranking (122/entire catalog)? Its source is already available in the article (the tenth source)
