The Beatles' template should come first
editBecause this song was written by Paul and John, the Beatles' template should be on top of the Rolling Stone's template. DAK4Blizzard (talk) 09:14, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Disagree. The Rolling Stones version was released first, and as a single, and those characteristics trump the songwriters and the subsequent release by the Beatles as an album track. — John Cardinal (talk) 12:50, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Although, The Beatles recorded it four weeks before the Stones; on September 11th, 1963. --84.208.224.234 (talk) 17:44, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Paul McCartney interview
editLove the double tracked vocal~ though it might have been done with a musical instrument or through recording manipulation. NantucketNoon (talk) 07:18, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Bob Dylan song
editThere is a Bob Dylan song called I Wanna Be Your Lover [1], that has the refrain going
I wanna be your lover, baby, I wanna be your man.
I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be hers, I wanna be yours.
The metre is very similar to that of the Lennon-McCartney song. Are there any sources on the relation between these songs? --83.119.189.198 (talk) 08:09, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'll add this to the article and a song by "The saints" that also has this phrase Alexcalamaro (talk) 19:31, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
I think it should be rock n roll or rock
editit is abvious it's not beat. Pilmccartney (talk) 08:11, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- See WP:V and WP:NOR. Wiki libs (talk) 13:05, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, this is obviously a rock 'n' roll song. If not, rock, because of the heavy backbeat and guitar, and Ringo's growling vocals, although this is my opinion. I will add this if I find a reliable source. Y45ed (talk) 19:09, 2 October 2013 (UTC)
Beatles Template should come first.
