Southern Hemisphere

edit

Since I doubt Scotland or Scandanavia were ever in the Southern Hemisphere I changed it to Northern.

Baltica (including Scandinavia) was once near the South Pole, probably even southern than it is north today. During the late Cambrian Earth looked very different (see this wonderful paleogeographic site). During the late Proterozoic, when the supercontinent Rodinia existed, Australia was near the North Pole. Continental plates have really travelled around the world over the many millions of years.--Jyril 19:51, 7 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
