that's a wide spread mistaken accusation of Ibn Manzur, he was a Sunni
the only reason they called him a Shiite is because he thought Ali should have been Caliph, but in that case, then many of the companions of the prophet Mohammad would be considered as Shiites too, which it's completely illogical
his writings declares that he was an Orthodox Sunni
