Cape Denison Penguins
editRecently, a news story has been going around about a mass starvation of 150,000 penguins (93% of the local population) caused by the iceberg cutting off the penguins' route to the ocean, forcing them to waddle 60 miles over the ice instead. (See, e.g., http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/feb/13/150000-penguins-killed-after-giant-iceberg-renders-colony-landlocked). Would this be worth mentioning in the article? –eruditionFISH 19:23, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- I think so. I've added the last paragraph to the article. Thank you. Bede735 (talk) 22:44, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Iceberg B-9. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20140228141319/http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/news/huge-iceberg-foils-mawson-centenary-plans/ to http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/news/huge-iceberg-foils-mawson-centenary-plans/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

editThis iceberg is the only one mentioned in this article whose later movements are completely undescribed. Do we know what happened to it? Where is it now? --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 18:30, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
