Merge discussion

edit

This page was created without going through a review process. It appears to have some worth while content, although short. However, it seems to me that it would be better justified as a section within the 9-11 (or similar) article rather than as an article on its own. Comments? User:David_FLXD I agree with your sentiments, the content is worth while but at this point to short to justify its own page. I think it should be merged with within the 9-11 article.CouchSurfer222 (talk) 17:12, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I also agree with this sentiment. This would be a stub on its own and would do better to be added to the main 9/11 article. I support merging. Robotunicr0n (talk) 19:19, 25 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Added note - should we remove it from the unreviewed page as it has now been reviewed, or would everyone prefer to keep here to perhaps increase visibility and spark more discussion? Robotunicr0n (talk) 19:25, 25 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I found this article through the unreviewed page, so perhaps leaving it is worth while. I believe it would be better as part of the 9-11 article, where the content would be seen by more people, and not languish as a stub. Tlqk56 (talk) 19:04, 26 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I support a merger. I added templates to increase attention. --DThomsen8 (talk) 12:22, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Following discussions over at Talk:September_11_attacks, I have amended the proposal to this: to merge Slogans and terms derived from the September 11 attacks into this article (which has a more encyclopedic title). The feeling is that 9-11 is already too long an article, and that this is a slightly different (but related) topic. It would seem to make sense to combine these two instead. In the meantime I will try to find some sources for some of the content. David_FLXD (Talk) 05:40, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Done   I've merged this page and the slogans page into a new article called Cultural influence of 9-11, and have tied the new page into the main article, at September 11 attacks#Cultural, using that section as the lead for the new article. The Transhumanist 20:54, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
