Assassination of his father?

The lead states Ijaz-ul-Haq entered politics “following the assassination of his father”. This wording was introduced by an ip in 2009, replacing the word “death”. Our articles on General Zia, Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, and on his death, Death and state funeral of Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, aren’t quite so definitive as to it being an assassination. I think this properly reflects the balance of sources. Would “death” be more appropriate than assassination? KJP1 (talk) 18:29, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
