Untitled
editI copied the excellent discography directly from the Spanish-language Wikipedia, it seemed worth making available here too. I hope that's OK. Thanks however go to its authors. (Better still though would be to share the data virtually rather than making copies as I just did, if such a thing is possible...) R J Sutherland 22:04, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
B Grade? Really?
editThis article needs a lot of work. Most of the 'research' in this article seems to come from a quick viewing of What's Love Got To Do With It?. So many inaccuracies and showy, journalistic style of writing, with peacock phrases everywhere, and barely any references for any of the material. And this got a B? reassessment beckons I think.Kaleeyed (talk) 19:03, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Patented?
edit"Ike not long after had the name patented just in case Ann left him in which he could get another girl and have her perform as Tina Turner." Certainly this should be "trademarked" as I've never heard of a name getting patented. Anyone disagree? --Shawn K. Quinn (talk) 15:42, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
MOS:SAMESURNAME
editI've taken a pass through the article to bring it into compliance with MOS:SAMESURNAME. That guideline says to use full names on first mention, then given names, which will bring a fair amount of clarity and consistency to this article. For example, the sentence "Turner trademarked the name in order to retain control of her rights" sounded like it must refer to Tina, but when you get to the next sentence, it becomes clear it was referring to Ike.--Trystan (talk) 18:15, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Needs more sources
editThe article needs more sources and has been tagged accordingly. SunCrow (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
History-of-rock.com
editIs it a reliable source? history-of-rock.com. Appears to be run by one person, Douglas Peneny, who I can't find any info on. Has the look of a blog. SilkTork (talk) 10:38, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
- I've replaced the source with AllMusic. There was no information there that's not easily available from other sources. I think we should also replace the AllMusic source at some point as well. SilkTork (talk) 10:47, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
Wedding
editI found a record and it states that Ike and Tina married in November 26, 1962.[1] TheGreatestLuvofAll (talk) 15:46, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
