Milton as "dour"

edit

The very word "dour" can be found, for example, on p. 546 of Lewalski's biography, applied to "Milton the man". Charles Matthews (talk) 08:43, 28 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Revision

edit

I intend to completely revise the presentation of L'Allegro and Il Penseroso. First, the poems are inseparable companion pieces and therefore ought to be designated a single entry page. In the second place, the citations used by the previous author are woefully narrow in historical and critical scope, so the reference section will be drastically expanded. Thirdly, I've changed this page to mid-level importance: being by Milton, such a distinction need not be justified any further. 144.131.14.3 (talk) 01:13, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Nicola TrethowanReply

If you intend to merge the two pages, you'll need to add the template {{merge}} to each. More on Wikipedia:Merging and Help:Merging. Charles Matthews (talk) 21:09, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
