Strange wording

This quote: "...people tend to throw harder for high numbers and lower for low numbers" seems odd. I suspect that it should read softer for low numbers, but I am hesitant to change it. The article says that "...it has been shown..." but I can't look it up anywhere. Does anyone know where this information comes from or if the text is wrong? --Amoore 22:24, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)

I see now that someone has made the change. I hope it's correct! --Amoore June 29, 2005 15:28 (UTC)

This article should be renamed. As their is no proof that we cannot influence things Karzack 04:45, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

barring supernatural or similar means largely unknown to general society, there are a great many things we can't influence. is that a fair assessment? if so, feel free to argue in favor of ESP or such, but keep in mind that if every marginal potential belief were considered a possibility, then it would be easy to debate pretty much every word on this site. there has to be a cutoff somewhere. --dan 16:06, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

positive illusions

the article mentions 'positive illusions' twice, but never gets around to saying what they are. is this a particular subset of illusions of control? a synonym? a related but seperate concept? a prog rock band? --dan 16:08, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Repeated elevator button pressing?

Would repeatedly pressing an elevator button be "Illusion of control".--211.28.215.112 17:14, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Drivers

I don't get it how being able to drive a car does not change an accident risk? If my driving skills are above average, it is natural to assume I would be better at avoiding accidents that some newbie who just got his license. 178.94.40.21 (talk) 13:56, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
