Existing literature appears to indicate his name actually ends in an apostrophe. I'm not clear what the distinction is in Russian, however. There is no questions here. If one needs convincing, look for PDF versions of "On sensitivity estimation for nonlinear mathematical models". You will find an author version with hand writing of Sobol' himself on the first page where he writes his name, with the soft sign. 62.240.134.193 (talk) 21:19, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
