EuropaGrid Ltd.?

Is it the same company or affiliated company as current EuropaGrid Ltd.? Because it has the same management (CEO Rory O'Neill) and the Europagrid was originally Imera's project. Beagel (talk) 21:13, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

No Europagrid ltd. is an entirely new company with a totally new management team. Former Imera CEO is involved though. Energyman (talk) 16:30, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Really? How it is "a totally new management" if CEO is the same person? Also, how different is this project from the East-West Inteconnector? Beagel (talk) 19:47, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Whow, that was fast. Just a co-incident that the page was deleted from the company's server just half your after it was referred here. I think that this is the best proof for you relations to this matter and you really should not to edit this and East-West Interconnector articles anymore due violation of WP:COI. Beagel (talk) 19:47, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

It is an entirely separate company with no relationship to Imera whatsoever. Imera was formally the minority owner of the east west interconnector. That project now belongs to the owner of Europagrid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 18:03, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Nobody says that this is the same company. I agree that from the legal point of view this is a separate company. However, even your own comment proves that there is a strong interlinkage between these company through the same project. Also saying that Imera was formally minority shareholder while the project was developed by its subsidiary is just lawyering. Beagel (talk) 18:10, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

There is no interlinkage. Companies are bought and sold all the time. You are persisting in publishing an untruth. The CEO of Imera is not the CEO of Europagrid merely the founder. Europagrid was established over one year later. Please remove this statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 18:19, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

So you say that Rory O'Neil, who is according to the Europagrid's website is CEO of the company, has never been CEO of Imera Limited or Imera Power or related any other way to these companies? So you say that this, this, this and hundreds of other sources are incorrect? Interesting. Beagel (talk) 19:33, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Europagrids website lists him as Founder, not CEO, there appears to be another Managing Director. Energyman (talk) 19:38, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Please stop lawyering. It is not matter if CEO or founder. The matter is that you said there is no interlinkage when this linkage clearly exists. Also, I don't know why you decided to delete the page from your company's server as this information still exists in different webarchives. Beagel (talk) 19:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Would you please remove the former employees name. Energyman (talk) 20:12, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Why? I don't see anything wrong in it that Mr O'Neil was CEO of this company. Beagel (talk) 20:21, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Change Article Name to Imera Ltd.

Imera Power is not the correct name for this article as it was never this companies name.

Your statement is not backed by any sources versus sources saying that Imera Power and Hydrogrid merged under name Imera Power. [1]

They merged to form Imera Hydragrid Limited which was subsequently renamed Imera Ltd. [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 18:35, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

So, that means that as Hydrogrid was merged into Imera Power, this is the same company notwithstanding changes in its name. Beagel (talk) 18:38, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Incorrect, they were merged in to form a brand new company Imera Hydragrid which was renamed Imera ltd. Energyman (talk) 18:45, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Not what the source says. However, even if a new company was established, it is still related as a predecessor. Beagel (talk) 19:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

They are still completely separate legal entities and to link them and to consider them one and the same is totally wrong and incorrect.

The logo also has no relation to any of these companies and the logo is that of another entirely separate company. Please remove.

Once more, this legal arguing does not go anywhere. It was already explained that if they are formally different legal entities, it should be said, of course. However, taking account the nature of this mater, the interconnections are very clear and this information belongs here. Beagel (talk) 19:22, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

East West Cable One

I am confused as user:Energyman claims that "East West Cable One was never a subsidiary of Imera". Abou 2 hours ago he (if he is the CEO of the company Rory O'Neill has he claims) made this edit, which claims that East West Cable One was a subsidiary of Imera. This is confusing and Energyman's edits during last two days shows some hidden agenda to downplay Imera's activities. What is the reason I can't understand; however, if the claim being CEO of the company is true, this is a clear violation of WP:COI. Beagel (talk) 18:45, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

There is no hidden agenda, simply to correct lingering erroneous information published here. Beagel appears to have no understudying of how companies work and the legal separation that is there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 19:00, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

I understand very well the nature of single project companies. However, Wikipedia does not need a separate article for any legal entity if these entities form an interrelated group of companies. Hiding information by referring to legal structure established for different legitimate reasons such as taxes; project management etc on the other hand is not a practice tolerated in Wikipedia. Also, once more, please be aware what the gyuidelines says about conflict of interest. Beagel (talk) 19:15, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
PS: You still did not clarify why you say in one place this is a subsidiary and in other place that this is not. At least you have agreed that there is a (minority) shareholdings which is enough to affiliate these companies. Beagel (talk) 19:17, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

East West Cable One is now 100% owned by a new entity entirely and is not a subsidiary of or affiliated to Imera. Imera has not traded for over two years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 19:29, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

But it was and as historical fact it belongs here. Beagel (talk) 19:36, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

oceanteam

This addition is incorrect and makes assumptions.

In April 2009, Oceanteam decided to stop funding Imera as the East West Interconnector did not secure financing.

The East West project did not receive grant aid funding. Oceanteam did not stop financially supporting Imera.

your source http://www.rechargenews.com/

states 'On 30 April Oceanteam announced its board had decided to stop funding its UK subsidiaries Oceanteam Power & Umbilical and Oceanteam Subsea Services.'

This did not include Imera.

Thank you. I reworded this sentence to remove funding Imera. Beagel (talk) 20:08, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Imera NV/Imera Ltd

By my understanding from the Oceanteam's presentation Imera Limited (located in Ireland) was a daughter company of Imera N.V. (located in the Netherlands). Isn't that the case? Beagel (talk) 21:02, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Yes your correct, suggest Imera Ltd is listed as a subsidiary of Imera NV — Preceding unsigned comment added by Energyman (talkcontribs) 21:07, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
