Talk:Immigration Act of 1990

edit

The link to Cornell's Legal Information Institute site is wrong. This article links to http://assembler.law.cornell.edu/usc-cgi/get_external.cgi?type=pubL&target=101-649, but the correct link is http://law.cornell.edu/usc-cgi/get_external.cgi?type=pubL&target=101-649 ("assembler" subdomain removed).

I'm not sure how to fix this. Kevin chen2003 (talk) 04:05, 27 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The USPL template is broken. I've added the link to the actual law text from the USCIS site. -- Dandv(talk|contribs) 10:19, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Lots of original research

edit

The article needs some reliable references for the claims that it created the EB-1 through EB-5 visas. Note that the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 already defines the "outstanding ability" and "skilled/temporary worker" categories: http://library.uwb.edu/guides/USimmigration/79%20stat%20911.pdf, page 3 (913), sections (2) and (6). Thus it's not clear that the Immigration Act of 1990 has "created" the EB visas. The text of the act does not mention any of the categories by name, either. INA Section 203 already seems to mention the 28.6 limit for each employment-based category, though it's not clear if that's the original INA from 1965, or the current state of the law. -- Dandv(talk|contribs) 10:22, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
