Title
editThe current title Immutable Pty Ltd doesn't seem to adhere to WP:NCCORP. The commonly recognizable name here is just "Immutable". Of course the title can't be Immutable, so perhaps Immutable (gaming) or Immutable (blockchain)? — xDanielx T/C\R 03:04, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- (Just saw this after a hiatus @XDanielx); Immutable (company) would be much more standard and distinguish it from a concept like immutability in general. But my understanding is that parenthetical is not generally preferred over a legal status as linked policy appears to say under Disambiguation? IgelRM (talk) 23:36, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah Immutable (company) does seems reasonable, no objection to that. To me the main difference is that
(gaming)
feels like a slightly broader focus, encompassing the chain and ecosystem as well as the company. Probably doesn't matter much though, since those entities are closely related. - I think using legal names is often fine (e.g. Block, Inc.), but I would argue that it's best to avoid
Pty Ltd
in particular, since it's a longer suffix and not widely recognized outside of a few countries. — xDanielx T/C\R 02:42, 27 October 2024 (UTC)- Ok, moving the article to (company) then. Without the abbreviation (proprietary limited), it would be a really lengthy title. Regards IgelRM (talk) 23:02, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
