- ... that shortly after the Improved United Kingdom Air Defence Ground Environment radar network was ready for action "a mere six years" late, the Ministry of Defence had already started looking to replace it?
Source: the quote is from Barrie, the replacement is from Forecast page 6.

- The article is long enough and new enough with no copyright violations. The hook is directly cited. The only two issues are that a QPQ is still needed and the Warwick, Graham (27 April 1985) reference doesn't work. SL93 (talk) 21:47, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- @SL93: QPQ is Heroic Children. Can't do anything about the URL, FI took down their entire archives and will not answer any emails about putting it back. Really quite a shame, it's one of the best historical references on the entire history of flight. Maury Markowitz (talk) 23:57, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- Added image, can you check that too? Maury Markowitz (talk) 00:03, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- I assume good faith on that reference and the offline ones. The image is free use. This is ready. SL93 (talk) 00:24, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
