Why not say the In Search Of episodes are on YouTube?

Copyediting needed?

edit

This article mostly consists of a long list of episodes of this TV series. I do not see how copy editing will change the situation. I am removing the copyedit template. --DThomsen8 (talk) 23:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wrong template.

edit

Following the copyedit template, there was this inline comment:

"<!--Dates are incorrect. The show premiered in mid-1976-->"

This may be the case, but the proper template is fact, and we already have a no references template. --DThomsen8 (talk) 23:08, 25 August 2009 (UTC) you suck yopu cant even say how many people died in mt st helens —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.161.149.175 (talk) 01:57, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wrong Dates

edit

The show premiered in September 1976, not in April 1977, so the original broadcast dates given in the article are all wrong. For example, according to the New York Times, the following broadcasts occurred on Channel 4 in New York City: Sep. 20, 1976 - Loch Ness Monster; Sep 27, 1976 - Bermuda Triangle; Oct 4, 1976 - Ghosts ; Oct 11, 1976 - UFOs. Exactly right. In Search Of debuted in 1976, notably including episodes of The Loch Ness Monster,Bigfoot and Strange Visitors...All made in 1976, not 1977. Please fix this. Seeing the incorrect dates, of a TV show some of us have actually seen in a certain year is very frustrating and annoying. People allowed to post articles should do more research and get their facts straight. 2601:192:8502:1480:4807:A6D4:6E17:DE0F (talk) 04:09, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Total Rewite

edit

This show needs a relatively brief decription and an episode guide instead of a list of what it just covered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Monty2 (talkcontribs) 12:11, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sharron Miller Presenter?

edit

I've seen all episodes of In Search Of several times and as far as I know, Sharron Miller was never a presenter, though she was a writer, producer and director. Leonard Nimoy was the presenter for all episodes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.172.217 (talk) 05:22, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Expository vs Explanatory

edit

Expository and Explanatory are synonyms. Probably ought to revise their use in the Format section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.189.187 (talk) 18:34, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree. In fact I was just about to note the same thing. Expository writing is writing that seeks to explain. Thus, something can't seek to be more expository than explanatory. That makes no sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.57.144.81 (talk) 01:52, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

2018 series

edit

I just saw a commercial on History Channel for a 2018 revival of this show, with Zachary Quinto as host. Can this be added to this page? Or should there be a separate page? Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 02:10, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

It has apparently been added to this article, but much info is missing. As of right now, it lists SIX episodes, yet I just got done watching the two-hour NINTH episode.
I came here seeking info about the swapping back and forth of at least two lists of identifying criteria given in Plato's account and am disappointed that it hasn't been kept current.
