Casualty section
editThe figures in the 'Casualties' section don't make sense. How can estimates of the pre conquest population be as low as 60,000 when more than 100,000 died in the succesion war combat alone? Also the depopulation ratios of 20:1 or 25:1 between pre and post conquest are also non-sensical, as the article then states that that means 1 in 20 or 1 in 25 people died (i.e. 5% depopulation). As far as I know mortality rates post conquest reached 80% or more by the early 1700s. Also, the article doesnt mention what time period post conquest these figures pertain to?1812ahill (talk) 13:57, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Needs a rewrite
editNo idea who wrote this but parts of it contradict itself, while other parts seem to just relay the same details over and over again. I removed the last paragraph, it looked like rambling.
Is there such a thing as 'Inca pride’ in South America, I’m genuinely interested and would believe it now. Someone has been watchdogging the pages related to the Inca empire, almost all these pages have passages that look like hate speech against the Spanish Empire.
This is an encyclopedia and should be presented as such, not a soapbox to complain about centuries old war crimes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.187.185.146 (talk) 12:30, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Belligerents: Tumipampa/Tumebamba
editThe Belligerents section lists both Tumipampa and Tumebamba, but aren't those just different dialect names for the same entity? Even the link to Tumipampa is just a redirect to Tumebamba. Gecko G (talk) 17:52, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
