- Oppose Both references spell it "Inconspicious". I could also find a 3rd reference Ann: Zoologische wetenschappen, Volume 278. Tassedethe (talk) 19:18, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
- Support. If I died yesterday, I wouldn't know that the proper spelling is wikt:conspicuous, and would have spelled it with an ⟨i⟩, like wikt:suspicious. I suppose many native speakers (and I'm not one) make the same mistake, as the Google search (and wikt:conspicious) confirms. However, it is not our duty to parrot the mistakes of our sources, no matter how reliable they were, if they're obvious and easily proven. Zoologische wetenschnappen is a reliable source for biology, not for English spelling. No such user (talk) 07:10, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
