Talk:Index of law articles

Format

edit

Aside from the space it would take, is there some reason that such an index must be formatted as it now stands? The list, with hyphens between entries, is very hard to read and as such, isn't of much use for anyone with vision that is not perfect.

Proposal

edit

Re-format the index in a bulleted list style for better readability. Thoughts and comments please.

The following article should be merged here after the entries are culled:

All the redlinks should be removed since they are obviously not articles. Also there are many superfluous entries - for example: abandon, abate, acceleration, calendar. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 22:10, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, except that redlinks should be moved here, to the talk page, where they can be monitored. The links can be added to the index as they turn blue. The Transhumanist 11:33, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
By WP:NC, article names are supposed to be nouns, not adjectives. There are many instances on this list where both the adjectival and nominal forms of the same term appear; the adjectives should be deleted (redlink or not), unless they actually link to an existing law-related article that is different from the article that the noun links to. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 16:13, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Items removed

edit

Per the above discussion, I've been bold and removed a bunch of items that do not appear to be links to "law articles." If any of these are in error, feel free to reinstate them. Also, I do not claim that all of the items that need to be removed have been, by any means. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 18:54, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Miscellaneous

Most of these don't link to where you would expect based on the text.

Item replaced

edit

I have put Semble back into the index as it is no longer redlinked. James500 (talk) 08:52, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
