Indiana's current home

edit

I have a more recent citation that says that Indiana is based in Glasgow (and not Lenzie) : http://www.contentagenda.com/articleXml/LN824425060.html?industryid=45188 The current edit mentions a home in Lenzie (but the citation dates from 18 months ago) My citation dates from this past saturday.

The Pirate Bay Controversy

edit

It needs to be noted here that someone has re-introduced the Pirate Bay conflict in this wiki page. If you will return to the archives, you will note that wikipedia deemed that this controversy was not relevant and therefore, it was struck from the record. Although I have left it in the article, I have made appropriate changes as to avoid defamatory and third-party commentary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Legal team (talkcontribs) 21:31, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

It seems to be the only thing she's notable for , actually. Evan1975 (talk) 00:48, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I deleted the section. The were numerous problems that haven't been addressed in months, including lack of sources and statements that didn't meet NPOV standards. If someone wants to add the section back, please stick to reliable sources or at the very least rewrite it using a neutral point of view. I'd do it myself, but I just don't think it's notable enough to expend the effort.--Mooksas (talk) 01:59, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have gone through and re-entered all of the references that were there from previous articles as it looks as though they had been removed. It looks as though this article has been written and rewritten by several wiki editors. I have added the recent release of the K-box and her involvement with Kerchoonz. Apparently she is founder and director of the company and they have recently released a new product that has received a notable amount of press on the internet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheaperbydozen (talkcontribs) 18:34, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I notice that someone was making an accusation on this wiki page about Ian Morrow 'lying'. However, that statement cannot be derived from the Pirate Bay legal threats emails. The company suffered losses in 2007 after the album was released and had 250 000 unauthorised downloads. The complaints were made in June 2008. So, 1.5 years later a company and the artist could have recovered. Morrow states in his letter that it 'nearly bankrupted the company' and is obviously referring to 'at the time'. Most of the downloads that were measured and published took place when the album was firt released and publicised via television and radio. This information was also published by the BBC. thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cheaperbydozen (talkcontribs) 20:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

The above contentious section as been removed pending better sourcing and a complete re-write. Do not re-add it if it's going to cause problems - keep WP:BLP in mind, and remember that office actions are something we want to avoid. Her entertaining Pirate Bay threats are the only notable thing about her, as pointed out above. Of course it's relevent to the article because it shows her to be greedy and ignorant.--Xania  talk 22:39, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, i for one am only at this page because of idle wonderings/wanderings after reading the excellently entertaining TPB emails. It's all i would note her for... 66.173.237.26 (talk) 23:21, 5 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

it more shows TPB as being asses. It's funny that anyone would go and consider an independent musician as being 'greedy'. That's never been the case with indie musicians. I think it's funny that she said she was a millionaire. but, clearly only intelligent people would understand the irony of that and lable her to be 'greedy'. That's the absolute irony of the whole thing which really cracks me up! live on and live well.. and when you're clever enough, you can have a laugh just the same way she has done! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.96.206 (talk) 01:59, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's funny that your IP address is that of TalkTalk (host-92-23-96-206.as13285.net) situated in Glasgow, UK. What a coincidence - guess who else is situated there? A lot of wikipedia sockpuppets... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.250.30.129 (talk) 12:35, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

TPB, part II

edit

I had a look at the material in this article upon the prompting of the subject, who emailed OTRS (ticket number 2009070710001493). I tend to agree with the subject that the references for this section don't, as a collective, meet our reliable sources policy, and by extension our biographies of living persons policy for contentious material. It appears, prima facie, to be a lot of original research and unpublished deductions based off primary sources and unreliable blog posts.

As such, I've removed the content. I'd ask that the content not be restored without an explicit consensus at the discussion here. Daniel (talk) 10:35, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
