No Info?

Not much written on this page. I think at least one thing of interest to write about would be the striking similarity of their uniforms to Oklahoma's uniforms. From the interlocking IU on the helmet to the Hoosiers written across the chest to color scheme of cream and crimson (Oklahoma's is crimson and cream). If I recall this is a fairly recent occurrence, as in the last few years. I could be wrong but I always thought that Indiana's colors were just red and white. Was this a conscious decision by Indiana? What was the thought behind it? I guess Oklahoma can take this as a compliment since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Yeah, I would expand it but I know nothing about IU athletics. I got here through a link. Just found it an interesting similarity.

I am a former Bloomington Indiana resident, and I cannot answer as far as the logo, but I do know that IU has officially recognized "Cream and Crimson"(in that order) as their school colors since their adoption of "official school colors". Also, I would state it hard to believe that IU's colors/uniforms were copied from OU, as IU's first football season was in 1887, and their first baseball game was in 1883, and University of Oklahoma was not established until 1890. Per your questions regarding the IU/OU logo, I've done some research, and the intersecting OU logo was introduced in 1966. Deleting Valuable Information

The Current Coaching Staff addition should not be deleted. It is informative and a similar section is used for the men's basketball page.Ctutacticalops (talk) 04:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

there is one coach and thus no need whatsoever for an empty table. we'll add it once a coaching staff actually exists. all you are doing is deleting useful information and destroying the proper format of the article. if you want to add content, great, knock yourself out, just don't come in and make the article worse. Indiana's record

There is an issue with Indiana's overall record. Prior to my edits, the main article said the record was 500-700-44 and the list article said it was 489–687–45. I have updated the main article based on these two sources (1, 2) and added the 2022 season records to the list article, but there is still a discrepancy between the two with it presently saying 500-704-44 and 493–695–45 respectively. Given that this isn't the only problem with these articles, (See 1908 Indiana Hoosiers football team) what is the proper method to determining an accurate count? --Super Goku V (talk) 02:01, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

College football reference has it listed as 479-681-38 and then 480-680-38 after adjusting for vacated wins. I can compare the differences between the cfb ref list of season by season records with the wiki list page.

Bowl record to change?

With Tennessee vacating wins from 2019 and 2020 including the Gator Bowl win over Indiana, the official bowl record should be updated to reflect this. It’s not a win. But it’s not a loss. As if it never took place. 2600:1700:1650:6F80:D4EA:2329:807:76E7 (talk) 03:22, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
