Help to improve article

edit

This week I continue working on Industrial & Organizational Assessment page. First I look to see what the others are working on and try to improve the article.

Here are links from other articles that I link to the page:

Mental activity

Data

Reasoning

Behaviorally anchored rating scales

Goal

ALSO I links the article to other Wikipedia articles. Here are links:

Functional job analysis

Cognitive work analysis

Cognitive ergonomics

Task analysis

Job analysis

I will be working on citation and references to help improve this article.

But that page is about lincensure and not about the definition of I/O Assessment. The reference to Individual Assessment is a recommended and the reference to Individual Assessment is in a list of general competencies of all psychologists. I think you should change the title back to I/O assessment. Then it would be an umbrella topic which covers all types of assessment I/O psychologists do. Solution to our problems

edit

Maybe this page need to be deleted and the good parts of it need to go to better I/O psych pages. I don't think that there is a reason for this page to exist.

Source suggestions

edit

You may find it helpful while reading or editing articles to look at a bibliography of Intelligence Citations, posted for the use of all Wikipedians who have occasion to edit articles on human intelligence and related issues. I happen to have circulating access to a huge academic research library at a university with an active research program in these issues (and to another library that is one of the ten largest public library systems in the United States) and have been researching these issues since 1989. You are welcome to use these citations for your own research. You can help other Wikipedians by suggesting new sources through comments on that page. It will be extremely helpful for articles on human intelligence to edit them according to the Wikipedia standards for reliable sources for medicine-related articles, as it is important to get these issues as well verified as possible. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 01:51, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

For sure the following source will be good for current I/O practice:
  • Schmitt, Neal, ed. (29 March 2012). The Oxford Handbook of Personnel Assessment and Selection. Oxford University Press. doi:10.1093/oxfordhb/9780199732579.001.0001. ISBN 978-0-19-973257-9. LCCN 2011033538. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |laydate= ignored (help); Unknown parameter |laysummary= ignored (help)

I'll keep this article on my watchlist and keep track of the changes in progress. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 01:54, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
