Fair use rationale for Image:AirAsia logo.png

edit

Image:AirAsia logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 04:47, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image File:AirAsia Edited.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Destinations in a separate list

edit

I created a separate list for the destinations of this airline because of guideline #5 on [[1]]. pikdig (talk) 03:36, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is why I strongly advise against a merge between this page and Indonesia AirAsia destinations. --Boeing7107isdelicious|Sprich mit meine Piloten 00:54, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Physical address

edit

I'm trying to find the official physical address/visiting address of the airline, but you can see the AirAsia RedHouse (head office) on Google maps

The head office is on JI. Marsekal Suryadarma. The company said its head office has the AirAsia logo on the roof and from Google Maps I can see that on the "AirAsia RedHouse."

WhisperToMe (talk) 13:10, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The street name is confirmed in this AirAsia news release. Google Plus says the address is "Jalan Marsekal Suryadarma, Blok Selapajang Jaya No.1 Tangerang, Banten 15127, Indonesia" WhisperToMe (talk) 15:09, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

On my recent flight, they mentioned them as "AirAsia Indonesia" in either inflight or airport announcement in Bahasa and English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.73.39.210 (talk) 03:33, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

No evidence of Category 1 claim by "Civil Aviation Authority". Citation to Indonesian Department of Transportation: Directorate General of Air Transportation false and misleading

edit

I checked footnote number 6 referred to in article as: " Indonesia AirAsia is listed in category 1 by the Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority for airline safety quality.[6]". This is absolutely not correct. Firstly, the footnote is a generic redirect to the Ministry of Transportation website- in Indonesian language- which is doubtful the claimant author is fluent in.

Secondly, there is no "Civil Aviation Authority" in Indonesia. This is a UK body wholly different in structure, control and oversight to the Indonesian equivalent. Perhaps a slip which belies the author of the outright falsehood. he full formal official full and correct Indonesian body asked with oversight of Air Transportation licensing is: Menteri Perhubungan Republik Indonessia: Direktorate Jenderal Perhubungan Udara. In English: Ministry of Transportation of Republic Indonesia, Directorate General of Air Transportation.

Proof of NO "Civil Aviation Auhtority".

I repeat: there is no "civil aviation authority" or the Australian version CASA Civil Aviation Safety Authority- the structure it is similar to the US Department of Transportation- Federal Aviation Authority [FAA]. After extensive searching, the only reference to the "civil aviation authority" of Indonesia (meaning Directorate General of Air Transportation) was that PT. Indonesia Air Asia is listed as simply: [quoted]: "Beroperasi" this merely status "Operational".

There is no proof or discussion of the article's false claim it is accredited, qualified, licensed etc. as "Category 1"- assuming such a category exists in Indonesian nomenclature. I provide the full URL source:[2]. I was unable to find any proof of qualification/categorisation/airworthniess/safety rating of ANY airline- this would strongly indicate any such categorisation is internal and unavailable to the public.

Additionally, the exact source is missing for the correct Directorate General of Air Transportation official statement of audit and punishment of Air Asia regarding on the Surabaya-Singapore route and the punishment of the relevant bureaucrats charged with oversight[1]

Article is titled: "Hasil Audit Terkait Penerbangan Di Luar Jadwal Rute Yang Ditetapkan": Jum'at, 9 Januari 2015: Menteri Kehubungan Republik Indonesia. Menindaklanjuti instruksi Menteri Perhubungan tentang Evaluasi Pelaksanaan Rute Penerbangan, Inspektorat Jenderal Kementerian Perhubungan telah melaksanakan audit pada pihak-pihak terkait.

English: "Audit Result Concerning Flights Deviation From Proscribed Scheduled Flight Routes" (Friday 9 January 2015: Ministry of Transportation)- which stated that:" "The flight of Indonesia Air Asia QZ8501 on the Surabaya-Singapore route of operation day 1, 3, 5, 7 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) was inconsistent with the approval of the flight operation plan granted by the Director General of Civil Aviation of 1, 2, 4, 6 ( Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)." Furthermore: "the Directorate General of Air Transportation has imposed sanctions in the form of freezing the Surabaya-Singapore permit to PT. Indonesia Air Asia..." "...Ministry of Transportation shall impose sanctions to the relevant officials within the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation in accordance with Government Regulation No. 53/2010." It is implied in the article there is governmental malfeasance, mismanagement or malpractice. The sources provided clearly a US FAA-like audit by the specific relevant authority followed by punitive measures imporsed by the relevant authorities on offending parties.[2]

Please kindly amend the article to remove insinuations of malpractice, mismanagement, malfeasance and other "Third World laxity" and reflect the reality- a US FAA-like investigation was launched with punishment to offenders and reprimands against the relevant bureaucrats charged with oversight and adherence to the law.Pickypedian (talk) 16:59, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
